pot drop
Also called pot melt or aperture pour.
With this technique, a ceramic (usally terra cotta) plant pot is loaded with glass and placed on kiln furniture several inches above the kiln shelf.
When the glass melts sufficiently, it pours through the hole in the bottem of the pot and onto the shelf.
Depending on the height of the pot, the number, shape and position of the holes, and the arrangement and colors of glass in the pot a wide variety of designs can be achieved in the piece of glass that is created on the shelf.
