Hello. Anyone here do freeze and fuse? I’m trying to determine why the lighter colored items get spots and streaks in them. I use distilled water and Spectrum 96/Oceanside glass powder.

I was firing a drape vase and was out of boron nitrate so I placed thin fire over the top of the drape mold, which has worked for me before. This time some of the glass folded around and trapped a tiny piece of thin fire between the layers of the fold. Hi. I’m a relatively new fuser. I have Paul Tarlow’s book on Drop Out Vessels and have created four successful drops of two layer projects dropped between 4 and 5 inches using his advice and firing schedules.
