I use bondcrete glue to secure my pieces before I fuse them but I’ve only ever done this on flat work. If I try a tac fuse on something like a dome, will the glue fail before the fuse takes hold?

Like Stephen said  “yes”.  Glues usually burn off between 500-900 degrees and you need 1300+ to get a tack fuse.
