I have cold worked the edges on two square pieces of glass to get rid of some sharp corners and some hazing from folded over kiln paper. Used diamond pads from 70 to 400 grit. Now do I put them in the kiln to fire polish and then once again to slump? Seems to me that at Bullseye class we cold worked edges and then put the piece into a mold to slump and fire polish together. That was a thick piece, these are only 2 layers thick. Which is the best way to do this?
If you have coldworked the piece to a 400 grit finish, the slumping temp should be sufficient to polish off the edges without bringing the glass to a full fire polish.
