I have a small decorative tin cup. It is a jello mold. I hope to use its shape in order to make a silica clay cast for fusing. I understand that tin can not be used due to its’ low melting point. Is there a way I can use pottery clay as a negative and then pour a silica compound mixture over it to make a positive? Of course, I will have to dig out the clay before it hardens. Am I missing a step here? Is it impossible to create an exact image? I plan to drape with the mold, not slump.  Thanks!
