ParticipantI would like to do some stenciling work on my fused projects. My questions are, What kind of stencils will work? Do they need to be sticky back and then you peel them off before firing? Do you use powders, enamels, Micas? Can they be air brushed, sponged? I am not sure where to start. I have seen doily type and floral looking work. Any suggestions would be helpful.

ParticipantThe kind of stencil you use will be dependent upon a number of things. Among them are what material are you using, what medium, what process, what to you want to achieve – detail or broad strokes?

ParticipantI did see something online and am curious on how it was done. It looks like it was airbrushed but not really sure. It also looks like opaque powder colors were used for the stencils. I use 90 Bullseye only. I would like to know if you were to use a stencil if it would have to be adhered to the glass so you would get a clean edge of your design. So any ideas or products out there?
