I have stainless steel tumblers to use for slumping. What do I need to do to get them ready to use besides 3 or 4 coats of kiln wash? I’m new at this as you can tell. Thank you ahead of time.
All you need is a separator (kiln wash, boron nitride, etc.). Sanding the surface to rough it up will make applying the separator easier.
Make sure that the surface is smooth – no indents or thciker rims. It doesn’t take much for the glass to trap the mold.
