I have a wine bottle mold and have been making cheese/spoon trays.  I have a more than occasional problem of the bottle having spikes/points along the edges like it sticks to the mold.  I use kiln wash after every 2 – 3 firings.  I have tried a hotter cycle, and tried firing with the preprogramed fuse mode on my kiln for 90 and 96 glass.  What could this be from and how do I fix??????

    THANKS,  Linda

The spikes indicate that you are firing too hot.  Fire at a lower temperature and soak longer.
