Hi there.  I am new to glass fusing, having only done a 2 day course and not got my own kit yet.  The course has got me dreaming about all sorts of ideas for things I could make.  However, I’m wondering about the properties of fused glass.  For example, is it frost-proof and OK to keep permanently outside?  Also, in terms of safety, how does it compare to safety/tempered/toughened glass?  Does anyone know what it is like when it breaks?  Does it crumble or form dangerous shards?  Are there any important things I should know that would limit its applications (such as size, purpose etc)?

Many thanks in advance for any advice from all those experienced glass fusers out there.
