ParticipantI’ve been playing with float glass lately. I got some float glass confetti and decided to do a quick compatibility test with some window glass I got from a local window-making place. The confetti I got was supposed to be cherry red. When I got it, it was clear and I assumed it was striker glass. I heated it up in my microwave kiln (because I wanted a test piece quickly) and it came out clear. Anyone know why this would happen? I had a layer of clear float glass, 3 layers of the cherry red confetti, a small piece of cobalt blue confetti, and a top layer of clear float glass. The piece fused together, but the “red” glass didn’t change color. All I can see in the finished piece is clear glass with a little spot of blue in it.

ParticipantCheck back with your supplier. Probably they sent the wrong stuff, although I have never heard of clear confetti. All the float compatible red I have seen is red to start with.

ParticipantI have a retailer who sends me cutoffs by the 20 pound box from bullseye and there is a lot of striker glass cut offs in the box. is there a complete listing somewhere of every striker color? I’ve tried Bullseye (of course) and found some – but unable to find every single color .
TY!

ParticipantLook at the bullseye website. That should give you a listing of all their colours.
