I am doing my first pot melt and am tyring to figure out how much glass goes in there so it will not over flow. I am using a 4.5 inch diameter by 1 inch height ring and for the glass I am using a stainless still vegetable colander I got at a garage sale for 50 cents. I have fiber paper on the ring , wash on the colander, just not sure the amount of glass to put in.

    meira.

I’m far from an expert on pot melts, but be sure not to use very much dark glass…maybe 10 percent or less…as it has a way of taking over. :)

Windows listen attentively for the sound of broken glass.

Don’t leave wash on the colander!!!!!!!!  It will get into your pot melt!
