How can I polish a fused glass piece that has lost its glossy finish? I used a 400 grit diamond sponge to remove baked in kiln wash from the back of ornaments that were fired. I tack fused them because I wanted to retain dimensionality so don’t really want to run through the kiln again. Are there any ways to buff/polish the glass by hand sine I don’t own any polishing equipment? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can work with a loose grit on flat glass. If you need help with the process, Paul Tarlow has a great book — “Coldworking without machines”. You can find it at: http://fusedglassbooks.com/

It has recently been turned into an ebook, so it is available for immediate download.
