ParticipantI am interested in learning how to make my own stencils/designs to etch on dichroic glass. I found a wonderful site (http://www.etchmaster.com) that offers classes on how to create your own stencils with photo resist. The only problem is the cost ($750) for a class. At this point I’m not ready to make an investment of that sort but I’d like to get my feet wet and learn/try a few techniques.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might find less expensive introductory materials such as books, videos, etc. that would get me started?
Thanks for whatever ideas any of you may have.

ParticipantI teach a course on use of Photopolymer Mask which is exactly what you are looking for. I currently have a class in Washington DC at Weisser glass on Dec 4and 5 . Cost is about half of what you were looking at.
Also, the material is less expensive by itself and the remaining materials and equipment for the entire process can be purchased for less than $50.
You can see examples on my website (see below) on the Gallery 1 page.
We are currently setting up our 2009 schedule and may have a class closer to you.

ParticipantBarry – Thanks very much for your response. I am interested in hearing more about your classes. I’ve sent my personal e-mail address to you at your website.
2009 early – mid would be of interest to me.
Thanks, Laura
