I’ve never tried the bubble powder I purchased 3 years ago. Any suggestions how to get the best effects. My intention is to use it in small jewlery items possibly with mica. Is this something I fire fast or slow for the best bubbles ? Any response will be greatly appreciated.
Very new myself although I did learn a little goes a long way and the bible size seems to be related to the diameter of the powder rather than the amount heaping (if the makes any sense). I have only tried it in my table top kiln but the amount to time/heat it took to round the glass was too much for the bubbles. Practice a lot.
I found the same thing… A little bit of bubble powder goes a long way but you can do some really cool things with it. I just got some metallic bubble powder from bluedragonglass.com and it left really neat bands of metallic color around the bubbles. I had to experiment a little bit. I found that if you use too much it makes the glass brittle around where the powder was.
