I am wanting to purchase a multi purpose kiln. I want something that is electric and a decent size but need to stay below 2000.00 any help would be appreciated. I am thinking about the Jen-Ken AF3P Ceram-a-glass 18/15. Any input about this kiln. By the way, I am a newbie to kiln work.
Paragon has a kiln that has elements in the top and around the sides so you can switch between ceramic and glass firings. I fire glass often in my ceramic kilns.
I would ask what the multiple purposes are. Are they compatible at all? Most times a tool works best for one thing and the other things it does are compromises. So think about the main thing you intend to do and keep that in mind as you look at the features of the kilns.
