Hi! Does anyone know how to use Mt.St.Helens Ash?
I’ve seen blown iridized balls and paperwieghts as well.
I’ve just found a mason jar full, but I’ve read that just melting it down in a crucible will produce only grey glass.
Does it strike? Is it like powdered frit?

Hi:
Why not contact Joe Rice at the House of Glass in Elwood, Indiana? When I was there this summer, I saw some blown items using the Mt. St. Helen’s ash. The contact information is 7900 E. State Road 28, Elwood, IN 46036. The phone is 765-552-6841.
Thank you!
