My kiln has some cracking and chipping in the corners of the lid. I suppose that this is just normal ware and tare since I close the lid very carefully. I am looking for kiln repair cement. Delphi does not have any in stock and Slumpy’s requires a 75.00 minimumn order. Does any one know of another supplier?
What type of kiln do you have? I purchased cement from Evenheat for my kiln. You could probably also get some from Paragon. Or check with the manufactuer of your kiln. (althought most kiln repair cements are about the same.)
gmn- I have a crack that runs across the entire brick in the back of my kiln cover. I just noticed it when I shut the kiln this weekend. Is this going to cave in on me? Can it be repaired with the cement you are talking about?
