So my kiln has always fired hot. The temperature has always been offset by a fair amount. Rather than re calibrating it, I have adapted my firing schedules.
Now I am working on rather large pieces, this guess work has become a problem as I did not have a grip on the exact temperature offset. So my annealing temps are off and I have breakage.
Is there a way to re calibrate to better reflect actual temperatures? I purchased a laser thermometer and it is reading about 220 degrees hotter than the kiln.
Also replaced the thermo couple. and reset the computer, all to no avail
I have a rampmaster 2 on an Evenheat GTS2541
Thank you!
