I am using a studio-pro by Evenheat with a standard infinite control and as a learner I now realise babysitting a kiln  is going to take  up a huge amount of my time.

Is it possible to have my kiln control changed from a standard infinite switch to an automatic control so I could have more precise control in the future and not need to sit for hours on a stool in the shed :(

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

    Yes – you can “upgrade”.

The easiest way is a stand-alone controller.  It has a thermocouple that you insert through a hole in the side of the kiln (easily made).  You then plug the controller into the wall and the kiln into the controller.

    Orton has one for $350.
