I have a deep mold and have been told making it a gradual drop is a good idea.  I learned using kiln wash to fill the space is a way to do it.  My question is wheather the kiln wash should be discarded or is it still usable.

In this circumstance the kiln wash powder is still useable.  If you wore to go to 750C or so – but why would you in this situation – it would probably stick to the glass in a subsequent firing.

I do shallow casting into dry kiln wash all the time and have had no problem reusing the kiln wash afterwards.
