ParticipantI loved the great tutorial on irid on irid fusing. In the tutorial the irid side was inside, showing through the transparent glass. I don’t want to fuse irid on irid but I do want to fuse irid into my pieces. I want to mainting that glossy shine of fused glass on the surfaces. Can I fuse it face down on non irid glass (if it’s a transparent irid) or lay a sheet of clear or colored transparent glass on top and still get that irrid sparkle while mainting the gloss of the clear/trans glass? Is the firing process different; should I ramp up and anneal/cool slower with irrid in my pieces? I use a ceramic kiln (works wonderfully) and am very conservative with this anyway.
Thanks in advance!!
