I hope this is helpful, as I am only familiar with Bullseye glass.
Silver can cause a reaction when fired with sulfur/selenium-bearing glass. One of my favorites is their French Vanilla.
If you are using a clear glass, and if it is from Bullseye, it sounds as if you may be using the Silver to Gold in their Alchemy series.
