    Hello everyone,

I have the parts ready to be assembled by using Helios’ e-book.  I don’t have a dedicated space to leave the cutter so it will have to be moved frequently.  Weight and durability will therefore be considerations.  So before I attach it to a surface of my choosing from materials available to me can anyone suggest a surface?  I know there are lots of you out there who cut on a regular basis and I’d appreciate your input!

I built mine on a piece of MDF.  I set it to one side when I’m not using it

I also have mine on a piece of MDF and it works great.  Don’t know what I’d do without it.

Another option is to install it on a Morton Board which is very light weight plus it catches the glass chards.

I was leaning toward MDF so a bit of confirmation seals the deal.  I’d use the Morton surface that I have but mine is the older version and a bit small (plus I use it on my inexpensive light box kit).

    Many thanks!
