I have seen pictures of earrings that have sterling silver loops fused into the top to hold the ear wires.  Is there any problem with using sterling in the kiln?  Also, where could I find some?  I use sterling silver ear wires and would love to attach the actual piece with silver also. Thanks!

A search for “sterling silver wire” turns  up all kinds of options, including Riogrande and Amazon.

The only issue with using silver is the reaction that can occur with certain colors of glass, and the fact that it will stain your shelf and can potentially cause problems in subsequent firings, until the silver fuming fires out.
