I am very new to fusing glass. Is it possible to tumble the glass pieces before they are used? I would like to try a project with kids. We are going to use a 2in x 2in square and we have precut a bunch of little pieces for the kids to glue onto their square. Also, what would be the best kind of glue that would show up the least if it squishes out from between the glass? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I’m a bit confused as to what you’re trying to accomplish by tumbling the glass. If you tumble the glass, then fuse, the effects of the tumbling would vanish.
If you give the kids a small square of glass to glue smaller pieces of compatible glass on to, you can use simple white glue like Elmer’s, then fuse. As long as the kids don’t overdo it on the glue it should burn off nicely during the fusing.
Good luck and have fun!
