I have some iridized glass I have had for a long time.  I am wondering if the coatings have changed and the old ones won’t stand up to fireing.  Anyone have any ideas.  I have no idea who the maker was.

20 years ago – if it isn’t Bullseye glass chances are it might be not high fire iridescent glass. You can fire it by itself – Iridescent side down (reversed fusing with irid glass is one of the classes we will be teaching in Las Vegas in 2012). Chances are, the irid will stay when it is not exposed to the heating elements.

    have fun

Try it.  Maybe just a small piece.  What have you got to lose?
