Can I used crushed Float glass to make frits.
What about the tin layer on float glass?
There is no guarantee that frit made from one piece of float is compatible with a different sheet of float (though they are).
The tin residue on the tin side won’t stop the pieces from fusing – though it can increase devit and even react with enamels.
Also, becaue float doesn’t flow easily when melted in a kiln, you’ll likely never lose the texture from the frit.
