I’m very new to fusing glass and stil have a lot to learn. Up until recently I had no trouble cutting my glass, but lately I can’t seem to get a clean, straight break. I’m wondering if my cutting wheel is already getting dull. How long do they usually last, and how can I tell if this is the problem?

you can test your cutter by running it lightly over a smooth piece of glass. If you hear a tick tick sound you may have a flat spot on the wheel. It is very uncommon for wheel to become “dull”
Thanks, I’ll try that test. I think I’m also going to play around with the setting on my running pliers. After doing a bit of reading I think that may be part of the problem, too.
Lots to learn!
