If we use kiln wash to keep glaze from sticking to our kiln shelves – is there ever a time when we can put the glazed piece of bisque directly onto the shelf after it has been washed with kiln wash – or do you always have to use stilts. Even more…has anyone ever used shelf paper under a piece of glazed bisque? If glaze is actually glass and you can use the shelf paper under a piece of glass that you are fusing and it keeps the glass from sticking to your shelf, why can’t we use the shelf paper under a piece of glazed bisque to keep that from sticking to the shelf? I was just wondering if any one has done this or if it is impossible?
