Wine Bottle melting thoughts
I make customer panels out of wine bottle bottoms so I have a lot of left over bottle parts, like bottles with the bottom 1 to 2″ cut off. I have a Fusion 7 kiln which isn’t quite wide enough for a full bottle to lay on the shelf. But bottle parts can be handled well. If all the bottles are similar (same company) they will mostlikely have similar COE values.
I’ve cut the bottles into cylindircal sections, stacked them and then melted. The rings intersect and bold together well. Looks like very abstract celtic knot circles. Also tried taking the top section from a couple of bottles and making a “two headed” bottle melt. Get some funky odd melts that are quite abstract.
