Flatten a draped piece
I’ve never found a good way to flatten an already draped piece. It tends to fall and flatten into a thick puddle (which there are some good uses for – pattern bars or can be used in one of Patty Gray’s deep molds).
If you have a large variety of molds, you could try gradually spreading it out by re-draping it on successively wide molds.
It also depends on how tightly draped it is. If it’s not too folded in on itself, it will be easier to get it spread out again using the above method. Then you’ll be able to turn it over onto another former or mold.
I’ll be interested to see what others have to say. Good luck!
