“I fired some pendants, using dichroic with clear glass on top. One pendant came out with a dull spot where the rest of the piece was typically shiny. Another came out with the glass completely dull. Can anyone advise me as to what went wrong? All of the other pieces came out fine, and I used the same clear glass over various types of dichroic.”
It sounds to me that you have not thoroughly cleaned the pieces. It sounds like the classic mild devitrification. This gives a group of cleaning options: http://glasstips.blogspot.co.uk/2010/08/cleaning-glass.html
