Polishing Glass

Can anyone speak authoritatively on the subject of polishing glass with a hand polisher? What grits of diamond abrasives/pads/discs should be use, leading up to felt with Cerium Oxide? What RPMs with each grit/felt?  Once you've gotten a completely level surface at the lowest grit, roughly how long each step (each finer grit) should take?  Let's assume a six inch square, flat, 6mm thick piece of fused glass... Are there differences between opal and transparent glass?

PS: This assumes all polishing is wet, plenty of water to keep the glass cool...

Polishing glass is may earn a good business profit. Many leading indusrtry of glass making produce this kind of work. Some large industry  produce harmful substances to the environment. Slowly it can lead to Oil spill fructures.In Michigan, a state of emergency has been declared because of the Kalamazoo oil spill. On Monday morning, a leak in a large pipe sent almost 20,000 barrels of oil into the river. The resulting oil slick is moving quickly within the water, and the EPA and Enbridge Energy are working to control it.
